"It was when I was first crowned Miss Chinese International in 1993 and I had to go to the Hongkong Coliseum for the Music Awards. I had to give away an award to George Lam or Alan Tam and I lost my shoe onstage in front of 17,000 people!'
-- Christy Chung on the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to her

"The first time I met Christy, I was stunned by how beautiful she is. I didn't have to do much to her face as she looks great without make-up."

"I know that it might be hard for Thai people to accept a Hong Kong Chinese Boonlueang like me because they already have a mental picture in their head. Trying to convincingly play the role, to satisfy the Thai viewer, proved difficult and was something I was constantly discussing with [director of Jan Dara] Nonzee."

"What this films portrays is something that society is afraid to publicly discuss. I don't want people to like the film for its alluring love scenes. The film has more than that. We should open our eyes and ears to the other subjects. I'm talking about abortion, incest, and rape. People may not speak about these things but they're everyday occurrences. The love scenes are minor in comparison to the larger picture. Maybe we never speak of such things because we're Asian or we're embarrassed. Perhaps if we discussed these problems, we could begin to solve them. Think about it. If a child is abused from a tender age on, he won't be able to develop into a healthy adult. This is the message that Nonzee is trying to convey in this film."
